#NewBreed3 Recap (w/ Pictures and Videos)
The #NewBreed show series was originally created to provide a platform for up and coming artists to showcase their talent. Needless to say --- #NewBreed3 was the PURE definition and provided just what the independent music scene was looking for! The Fire was filled with some of the best up and coming talents in the tri-state -- ready to showcase their talents in front of a PACKED house. The anticipation for this showcase in particular was immense -- and it did not disappoint. Delaware's J Gillie started off the show with his rhythmic, old-school hip hop style and set the tone for the first couple of acts, which included New Jersey's Fonte Cruise, Philly's Miles Chancellor, and NJ/crowd favorite Ish Williams. Speaking of which, Ish is definitely an artist you should watch out for -- already has the support of his hometown AND has some tough records to carry momentum, stay tuned. Following Ish, was an oxymoron to the #NewBreed theme -- Sincerely Tajy. For those who don't know, Tajy is a veteran on the indie music scene, in both the event curation and music areas. Personal #VeliBrand favorite of the night, Hoax Pain, electrified the stage with his catchy songs and mosh pit style performance! Performing hits such as "Mysterious", and "P.O.S.", the crowd swayed back and forth -- singing every word in the process! He even bought out Philly Dog-Town legend Theodore Grams! Let me send this PSA to Grams: This is like the 4th event of mine that you've performed at as a feature, it's about time we change that in 2016 my brother. Nonetheless, stay tuned for Hoax, he definitely has something special going for him and can definitely make some noise in various circuits come 2016. #NewBreed3 was closed out by fellow on-the-radar talents, MorsKamo and DEF Bananas. Mors was a "fan favorite" pick and he definitely did not disappoint. I truly appreciate his forever support and watch of #VeliBrand -- it will go a long way.
From start to finish, #NewBreed3 was a party-like atmosphere, which paved way for genuine music lovers to embrace new and unfamiliar music. Looking forward to see what these artists do in the next couple of weeks to capitalize on this platform! See pictures and footage after the jump!
